Do I need a new computer to run PawnShopPro?
In most cases, it is not necessary to purchase a new computer in order to use PawnShopPro.
  • IBM PC or compatible
  • 300Mhz Intel processor
  • 64 MB of RAM (Memory)
  • 20MB of free hard drive space
  • Windows 98, NT, 2000, or XP

PawnShopPro is a flexible program that allows you to set up interest rates, loan terms, taxes and fees according to the regulations in place in your state of municipality.

Yes. In order to use PawnShopPro, you must accept the Software License aggreement.

How much do you charge for maintenance? Upgrades? Am I required to purchase an annual maintenance plan?
The Annual Maintenance Plan is $100 per year for a Single-User License and $125 per year for network license. This includes technical support and upgrades for one year. Although you are not required to purchase a Maintenance Plan, you will need one in order to call for technical support or upgrades.

How many printers do I need to run PawnShopPro?
PawnShopPro can run using one printer. Howerver, the software includes the capability to run four separate printers. You can designate a printer for each of the following:
  1. Reports
  2. Sales Receipts
  3. Pawn Tickets
  4. Labels

How do I print my Pawn Tickets on Burrell preprinted forms?
First verify that PawnshopPro supports Burrell forms for your state. You can do this by contact PawnShopPro technical support by email at pspsupport@vhsoftware.com or by phone at 973-238-1097.

Once you have confirmed that Burrel Forms are supporttes for your state, enter your Store information on the Maintain Store screen. Then, by selecting Customize PSP button, choose Burrell forms on the Pawn Ticket Printer option.

How do I set up my printer?
PawnShopPro is designed to work with the printers that are currently installed on your computer or network. For more information on your printers, click the Start button, go to Control Panel, then select Printers. Once you have installed the printers you will be using with PawnShopPro, you can set your printers in the Maintain Store Screen by clicking on the Customize PSP button.

Do I need to be connected to the internet in order to use PawnShopPro?
You do not need to be connected to the internet in order to use PawnShopPro. Software version updates are available online on our website. With the purchase of our Annual maintenance plan you are entitled to download version updates. For a nominal fee of $10, you can request the version updates on CD be mailed to your store.

Is PawnShopPro a Windows(tm) based system?
Yes, PawnShopPro is a Microsoft Windows based system and is compatible with Windows 98, NT, 2000 and XP. PawnShopPro is not available on the MAC or UNIX-based computers.
