I was one of those that got ripped of by BCSS.
After I took over an existing consignment shop in 2007, I
wanted it to be computerized. I started looking for a
consignment program and found BCSS. I liked the price and
of course I was trying to save every penny so I opted to go
with them and bought their trial program. It worked fine
for the first couple of months, then I started having some
questions.
I followed their procedures and sent emails to their
support address. I tried leaving phone messages but after a
month and still no response I started doing some searching
for a phone number and finally found one for their office.
Once again I got an answering machine and it told me to call
the support and number and leave a message. I left a rather
rude message at the main number and got a response finally.
In trying to fix my problems they needed to see my program
and the info I had put in it, did it, they sent it back,
then up pops a message that the upgrade was locked and I
needed to pay more money for an unlock code. I never asked
them to upgrade the program and raised heck. They gave me
an unlock key and that was the last I ever heard from them.
I kept trying to contact them for further support, to no
avail.
Shortly after that I bought ConsignPro and in trying to
transfer my info from BCSS to ConsignPro, so I didn't have
to re-enter all my info, Brian discovered they had put a
lock in the program so the info could not be transferred.
Yeah, I had to re-enter probably 75% of all the info that I
had already entered once. Was not able to get my money back
either.
PLEASE!!!! Do Not Buy BCSS.
If you have any questions please call. My contact info in
on the ConsignPro site. Dawn, Dawn's Delights.
